Burgundy has a number of undeniable tourist attractions.

A number of major sites constitute the jewels in region's crown :

• Côte d’Or: Alésia, Fontenay Abbey (a UNESCO world heritage site), Val Suzon, the southern Côte de Beaune.
• Nièvre : Mont Beuvray, Bec d’Allier, Mont Preneley.
• Saône et Loire : Montagne des Trois Croix, Roche de Solutré.
• Yonne : Vézelien.

A region worth discovering …

A destination of choice for wine and food-lovers, Burgundy is also a region rich in art and history, with Romanesque churches and cities of art. It has everything for fans of sporting activities, fishing and river boat trips. Wine-lovers should follow the Wine Road, which will take them on a voyage of discovery of prestigious Chablis, Nuits-Saint-Georges, Beaunes, Mercureys and Pouilly-Fuissés. But the gastronomic riches that make for the region's reputation do not stop there: try the famous Bresse chicken, Charolais beef and strong Dijon mustard.
